The breakfast was very tasty.
The size of the room, the view from the balcony and the overall cleanliness really impressed us.
Enjoy marvelous views of the Borromean Islands from Villa Ruscello: a cozy 2-star family-run hotel set on the coast of Lake Maggiore.

The unobstructed view from our balcony out across the southwestern end of Lake Maggiore was beautiful. We also enjoyed the breakfast of fresh pastries and other European fare. Natalino, who co-owns this historic family villa with his brother, was such an interesting person who seemed to take delight in sharing with me (in English) the history of the Villa pre–WW I, the tragic role it played in WW ll, and how his family eventually became the owners of it. Our conversation was a highlight, along with the stunning lake view, of our visit here.
Set on Baveno's lakeshore, Grand Hotel Dino offers panoramic views across Lake Maggiore. This large and elegant hotel features both indoor and outdoor swimming pools and a wellness center.

As of tremendous stress with booking cancelled 2nd night which I found out afternoon before next day 5 hour drive to italy. As I had called and messaged in writing after call to make sure they book us parking and also upgraded for 2nd night balcony, lake view, I got an email shortly after that 2nd night was cancelled on my side. I had not seen any message from booking and called hotel, who said they were full. I immediately booked another more expensive hotel . My girlfriend who speaks Italian called hotel Rosa and was told that reason for cancellation from booking was that my credit card did not get through. I had no idea and was shocked. Why did nobody from booking call me???

The setting and grounds are absolutely gorgeous --wonderful place to take pictures of Lake Maggiore. The facilities are spotlessly clean and nice. When we were there it seemed like all of the other guests were on bus tours, so it felt like we were the only ones in the hotel during the day.
Featuring exclusive views of the lake and surrounding mountains, the Hotel Carillon is the only one in the area to be positioned right on the lake front. Wi-Fi is free.
Just a 2-minute walk from the lakeside promenade, you will find this charming hotel residence. Take a boat to the Borromean Islands from the dock only 165 ft away.

The location of Baveno was good for exploring the lake and local area.
Plenty to see and the boat trip to the Borromeo islands was well worth it. Local restaurants were good providing local dishes. Good for those who like walking with plenty of interesting places to visit. We travelled by car but there are local buses.

Nice little pitoresque place, relaxing and peaceful.
Nice little pitoresque place, relaxing and peaceful.
I miss some bakery that do exist but were closed. Also you can't really buy any souvenirs and not much opportunity to buy local food to take home unless you are buying the ordinary supermarket stuff.

Baveno is a very lovely place for a holiday with an amazing embankment walk.Every day I take a boat to travel to different islands and small towns. There are good restaurants but quite expensive . I saw only one pizza take away .Once we were in pub near Eden Hotel ,the food was horrible.
The public beach is small one but with bar and restaurant. Food was good.
It was too cold to swimming in the lake in the end of May ,so we went to Adventures park. The water in swimming pool was warm and surrounded with views of mountains and lake. But expensive.
I love to recommend Baveno like amazing holiday destinations.

It was fine but very quiet, with boats going to some beautiful places all day.
If you like shopping not the place to go, one small supermarket, small deli pizza take away one small gift shop. Plenty of restaurants offering various foods, not cheap but would expect to pay more when visiting popular areas like this.
Good for walking, cycling or generally chilling out. For more shops etc visit Stressa just a mile down the road.

Beautiful lakeside town, lots of lovely restaurants and bars right on the lake and the beach is not far from the centre. There’s a great beach bar too! Easy to reach the islands and other nearby towns by boat or train which run regularly. On a map it seems easy to walk to Stresa along the lake but I would avoid this as the road has very limited paths at certain points along the way so it’s better to go by car, boat or train.

A very nice resort city on the shores of Lago Maggiore.
A very nice resort city on the shores of Lago Maggiore. An ideal place to pass a couple of hours and have a nice lunch or dinner and a good starting point to discover the southern western shores of the lake including the Borromean islands.
Ideally located on the national road (SS33) and close the the highway (A26).
Great view! Everything I needed. Breakfast was decent. Very nice that it's included in the price of the hotel room. I walked to the village about 15 minutes. There is about a 50 foot section that has no sidewalk and you walk on the narrow road so that is a bit dangerous but I survived it 4 times. The village is very small but has a few places to dine along the water. It's mainly a beach area/campground.
Modern and well-equipped apartment. Nespresso machine with enough capsules. Washing machine (half-size but enough). We did not meet the host in person, but communication by messaging was easy. Balcony has view of Lago Maggiore. There's a round pool, which should be nice in the summer (it was closed in autumn). The walking distance to Baveno is 20' (5' by car), so this place is best if you arrive by car.
The hotel has a warm and and welcoming man. The staff in the dining room complied with every request. Large room with a lovely view of the lake. The hotel is clean and so are the rooms. The hotel has a good beach and bar near the lake. You should sit during the aperitif, for the price of the drink you also get delicious snacks
Hotel is located on the lake (with private lake access) which means beautiful scenery and lots of options for a new ‘profile picture’ :-)
Rooms are big and clean, staff is extremely friendly and breakfast had variety of options, including fresh orange juice, eggs, vegetables and pancakes.
We will surely be back!
The owners are wonderful people, extremely friendly and helpful. The room was the best equipped with amenities of any non-hotel location we stayed on our Europe vacation. Eating at the restaurant will also be a highlight with the many wonderful taste sensations with the delicious food and wines.
The hotel is well located near the city center and the boat departure. The room was confortable and well equiped. The roof top bar is super nice with a great view! Do not hesitate to take the “aperitivo”!
Staff is very helpful and friendly
Very clean with a beautiful view! The staff is very welcoming and helpful. Paula even helped us a lot before our flight to Italy - great service! The location is great, and the water park was really nice! we had a really lovely stay.
The hotel is located within a 5 minute walk from the train station, and 2 minutes away from the lake.
The breakfast was very tasty.
The size of the room, the view from the balcony and the overall cleanliness really impressed us.
Excellent service (both hotel & restaurant) and hotel facilities. Comfortable rooms with high quality furniture and textiles. The view of the room is amazing . The restaurant is perfectly located and offering delicious meals.
Beautiful location, very impressive ‘grand’ building and fantastic overlook of Lago Maggiore. Hotel grounds (gardens, pool) were very well maintained and recently renovated. Very nice terrace overlooking the lake.
The location is excellent, a quiet side street just off the main street. The decor is very cute and we found everything we needed. A note: during off season it’s hard to reach Baveno with anything but car!
The location is great, in walking distance of everything in Baveno. The scenery is beautiful and breakfast is served on the terrace with great views! The room was cozy and had everything I needed.
Excellent views from balcony, dining area and yard area. Hotel directly on water. You could swim from hotel. Very good food for dinner and nice breakfast. Free bike use.
